In short, in plain language

  • Olena and other INFOCLUB managers in Telegram are AI assistants, not people.
  • AI suggests introductions, but we introduce people only when both agree.
  • AI does not decide on restrictions or removal from the club; the team does.
  • The models come from OpenAI and Anthropic. AI never sees passwords or payment card details.
  • To opt out of AI suggestions or delete your data: serviceinfoclub@gmail.com.

This is a summary for convenience. The full text below is legally binding.

This document describes how INFOCLUB LLC (EDRPOU 46356002) uses artificial intelligence (AI) on the INFOCLUB platform.

1. Where AI is used

AI works here:

  • Olena and other managers in Telegram. The club's AI assistants: they tell you about events, answer questions about the club and help with your profile and introductions. Olena is the community manager; there are other AI staff too, for speakers and for venues.
  • The INFOCLUB bot in Telegram. Answers questions about events and the club and sends reminders.
  • Chat assistant on the website. On the “Where to pitch your startup” and “Learning” pages it finds programmes and helps you register.
  • Introduction suggestions. The “People for you” section on the website and suggestions from managers: who you should know, based on profiles.
  • Your profile. “Ask AI” on a member card, “Fill in for me” in forms, filling in your profile from your social media links, translating your profile into other languages.
  • Team work. Translating website texts, reading venue menus, preliminary screening of INFOCLUB Ventures applications.

2. You are talking to AI

Olena, other INFOCLUB managers in Telegram, the bot and the website chat assistant are AI programs, not people.

Olena writes from a Telegram account, so she is easy to mistake for a person. If you ask her directly whether she is a person or a bot, she says she is the club's AI assistant and never denies it.

Before the first conversation, the INFOCLUB bot asks you to confirm that you know you are talking to AI.

[to clarify with a lawyer: whether this is enough for Article 50 of the EU AI Act, or whether Olena must say she is AI in her first message].

3. What data AI sees

AI sees only what it needs to answer:

  • your messages in the conversation and its history;
  • your profile data on the platform: name, position, company, city, interests, goals, plan;
  • facts you told it about yourself; the assistant may remember them so it does not ask again;
  • your event sign-ups;
  • other members' profiles, to suggest introductions.

AI does not see your passwords: a temporary account password arrives as a separate message that bypasses the model. AI does not see payment card details either; WayForPay processes them.

The assistant does not remember health, religion, political views or other special categories of data, even if you wrote about them.

Contact details of INFOCLUB Ventures applicants are not sent to the model when an application is assessed.

Conversations with the assistants are stored in a database on the INFOCLUB server so the assistant keeps context. For some assistants the conversations are encrypted in the database; for Olena: [to clarify: when we turn it on]. Retention period: [to clarify].

4. Model providers

Replies are generated by OpenAI and Anthropic models. Your messages and the profile data needed for the reply are sent to them through their API.

Requests to OpenAI are sent with storage of responses on their side turned off.

Whether the providers use the data to train models and how long they keep it: [to clarify: terms of the contracts with OpenAI and Anthropic, processing region].

All services that receive data are listed in Subprocessors.

5. Human oversight

  • AI suggests an introduction, but makes it only when both sides have agreed. The decision is yours.
  • AI does not decide on restricting access or removing someone from the club; a person on the INFOCLUB team does.
  • Preliminary screening of INFOCLUB Ventures applications: AI scores the application against criteria, a program calculates the result against thresholds, and the result is sent by email. [to clarify with a lawyer: whether this is automated decision-making under Article 22 GDPR and how to request human review].

6. AI mistakes

AI can make mistakes: give an inaccurate answer, misunderstand a question or suggest the wrong person.

The assistant does not make up event dates and times: they come from the database and a program calculates them. If no event is found, it replies with a fixed text, not with invented details.

Check what matters, such as the date, price and terms, on the event page or in the documents.

Noticed a mistake? Write to serviceinfoclub@gmail.com: what the assistant said and when.

7. Your rights

  • If you do not want the assistant to write to you first, tell it “do not write to me”.
  • To opt out of AI introduction suggestions, write to serviceinfoclub@gmail.com. [to clarify: there is no separate switch in the profile yet].
  • Ask the assistant to forget what you told it about yourself, or write to serviceinfoclub@gmail.com.
  • To delete your account and data, use the “My data and account” section of your profile or write to serviceinfoclub@gmail.com.
